As well as editing articles on <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Isabel_Thorne\" target=\"_blank\">Isabel Thorne<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Matilda_Chaplin_Ayrton\" target=\"_blank\">Matilda Chaplin Ayrton<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Scottish_National_Blood_Transfusion_Service\" target=\"_blank\">Scottish Blood Transfusion Service<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>A new \u2018Controversy\u2019 section added on the intriguing case of <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/James_Barry_%28surgeon%29\" target=\"_blank\">James Miranda Barry<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>A really helpful mapping tool of the buildings to be photographed: <a href=\"https:\/\/mapalist.com\/map\/573668\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/mapalist.com\/map\/573668<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Our historian of medicine worked on <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Brunonian_system_of_medicine\" target=\"_blank\">The Brunonian system of medicine<\/a> article \u2013 a theory of medicine which regards and treats disorders as caused by defective or excessive excitation.<\/li>\n<li>A brand new article on <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Leith_Hospital\" target=\"_blank\">Leith Hospital<\/a> \u2013 illustrated with pictures the new editor took themselves and uploaded to Wikicommons.<\/li>\n<li>Articles on <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Frances_Helen_Simson\" target=\"_blank\">Frances Helen Simson<\/a> (a Scottish suffragist) and <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Edinburgh_Royal_Maternity_Hospital_and_Simpson_Memorial_Maternity_Pavilion\" target=\"_blank\">The Edinburgh Royal Maternity and Simpson Maternity Hospital Pavilion<\/a>. Out of nearly 300 ILW events, the\u00a0award category we are shortlisted in states:<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8220;<em>Best Impact &#8211;\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><em>Innovation doesn\u2019t just happen in a week and these event organisers know it. \u00a0They used the festival to support an idea which will have a great deal of impact outside of the classroom and for months &#8211; maybe even years! &#8211; to come<\/em>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Our next Wikipedia editathon event will be for Women&#8217;s History Month and will coincide with a number of other International Women&#8217;s Day events in Edinburgh on Saturday 5th March.
