I\u2019ve always suspected that learning design was key to delivering learning technologies at this institution, I\u2019m glad we have such an excellent team across LTW and the Schools, and that people are able to give time, even when everything is so busy. Thank you to Jon, Ryan, Tracey, Neil, Brendan, Meredith, Lizzie, Graeme, Alison and Lorraine.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Learning design for hybrid<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ed.ac.uk\/information-services\/learning-technology\/learning-design\/abc\/course-design-for-uncertain-times\">https:\/\/www.ed.ac.uk\/information-services\/learning-technology\/learning-design\/abc\/course-design-for-uncertain-times<\/a><\/p>\n<p>They have<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Created remote version of \u2018ABC\u2019 course design sprints, with input from School learning technologists.\u00a0 Delivered Via Teams.<\/li>\n<li>Run 4 \u2018Train the trainer\u2019 workshops in past 7 days with 68 attendees.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ed.ac.uk\/information-services\/learning-technology\/learning-design\/abc\/abc-workshops\">https:\/\/www.ed.ac.uk\/information-services\/learning-technology\/learning-design\/abc\/abc-workshops<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Created a set of Micro and Macro patterns using ABC learning design approach to help ease the transition to remote \/ hybrid teaching for courses.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ed.ac.uk\/information-services\/learning-technology\/learning-design\/abc\/macro-and-micro-patterns\">https:\/\/www.ed.ac.uk\/information-services\/learning-technology\/learning-design\/abc\/macro-and-micro-patterns<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Produced help and support documentation on ABC for both facilitators and participants.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This is exactly what we need right here, right now.<\/p>\n<div data-contents=\"true\">\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"ep7ne\" data-offset-key=\"749cr-0-0\">\n<div class=\"public-DraftStyleDefault-block public-DraftStyleDefault-ltr\" data-offset-key=\"749cr-0-0\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If you&#8217;ll forgive me for celebrating yet another really impressive piece of work completed by LTW and the team of learning technologists from across Schools to establish a co-ordinated learning design service to support hybrid courses in Learn.
