Thing 6 is\u00a0 about accessibility.\u00a0 I was listening on Radio 4 to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/programmes\/b01s6xyk\">&#8216;tweet of the day&#8217; <\/a>this morning while scrolling through Twitter and I mused on the possibility of having tweets actually tweeted, as in spoken outloud. A quick google search revealed instructions on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.instructables.com\/\">Instructables<\/a> on how to make it so.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.instructables.com\/id\/Twitter-Enabled-Text-to-Speech\/\">Twitter Enabled Text to Speech<\/a><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m thinking perhaps a day of making accessible tools would be a good use of our new &#8216;UCreate Studio&#8217; Maker Space in the Main Library.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I am participating in the University of Edinburgh digital skills course \u201823 things for digital knowledge\u2018.
