{"id":271,"date":"2018-07-03T13:46:54","date_gmt":"2018-07-03T13:46:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thinking.is.ed.ac.uk\/ada-lovelace-day\/?p=271"},"modified":"2024-06-11T15:03:43","modified_gmt":"2024-06-11T15:03:43","slug":"call-for-proposals","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thinking.is.ed.ac.uk\/ada-lovelace-day\/call-for-proposals\/","title":{"rendered":"Call for proposals"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Submit presentation or workshop ideas for the University\u2019s annual Ada Lovelace Day celebrations.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ada Lovelace Day is an annual event whose goal is to raise the profile of women in science, technology, engineering, and maths, and to create new role models for girls and women in these fields.<\/p>\n<p>This year will be the tenth Ada Lovelace Day and to celebrate we\u2019re now accepting proposals for potential presentations, demonstrations or workshops at the University\u2019s own event.<\/p>\n<p>A full day of activities are planned for Tuesday 9th October at the King\u2019s Buildings campus.<\/p>\n<h2>Suggest an Ada Lovelace Day activity<\/h2>\n<p>Each idea submitted will be reviewed by the Ada Lovelace Day committee. Key criteria will be availability, audience and how it connects with the theme of Ada Lovelace Day.
